Backtester receives the run form needed to calculate your result. It can ask the price provider for ticker symbols, dates, and price intervals. It does not send the full strategy rules to the price provider.

The hosting service can record request and error logs. A chart link for a custom run can include the run form in the URL fragment. Anyone you share that link with can read the form.

Backtester does not need your brokerage login. Do not enter secrets or personal data in a run form.
